What is the MWAA conference?
The MWAA, or Midwest Acquirers Association, is a conference filled with educational and networking opportunities, dynamic speakers, and a hall of payments and value added products and services. Founded on the belief of educating payment professionals, MWAA provides the constantly changing information for the industry. MWAA is a non-profit, no-membership independent forum that welcomes feedback and input.
MWAA’s mission statement promises to “provide a regional opportunity for training, education and networking in the Midwest acquiring community.”

Marc Abbey
Marc Abbey is not only the Managing Partner of First Annapolis, but also leads the company’s Merchant Acquiring practice and international expansion. This has led to the opening of their office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He advises on a range of clients in North America, South America and Europe. This includes new acceptance markets, pricing tactics, retention, product strategy, and mergers and acquisition transactions. After obtaining an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, he obtained a B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and joined First Annapolis in 1991.
Peggy Olson
As the payment industry’s go-to marketing expert, she founded Strategic Marketing, which specializes in developing strategies, building brands, enhancing communication, promoting products and services, and improving lead generation capabilities. She is on the sales strategy and technology committees for Electronic Transactions Associations and is an ATM Industry Association approved consultant.
